Brass band was used when I was waiting to get to my epidural. It made me alert and focused and distracted me from the task at hand a bit, but also energized me. We listened to the loud, angry stuff :) When we were to the point of almost pushing and my epidural had half worn off and I was dog tired, I used all relaxing music, mostly Christian stuff. It' helped me relax, made me focus on the bigger picture and helped me release some fears, etc. I cried a little in the good way. So I'd highly reccommend making music for a couple different moods. Sometimes you need to get angry, sometimes you need to cry ;o)The Stoycheffshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13794800148480317795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-816994953092029218.post-17403189037795875142012-04-02T09:42:15.773-04:002012-04-02T09:42:15.773-04:00I used two playlists for L&D. I was focused on the music and into it...it wasn't necessarily calming but more motivating. The second playlist was while I was pushing and just before, when my epidural had half worn off and I was pretty tired. It was all relaxing music, mostly Christian stuff with encouraging messages. Some of it made me cry, in a good way. We just plugged my iPod into some speakers we brought and it filled the room. So I'd make a couple of playlists -- one for energy and determination, and one for relaxation and comfort :)The Stoycheffshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13794800148480317795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-816994953092029218.post-82156212749406414252012-03-29T13:34:21.096-04:002012-03-29T13:34:21.096-04:00You're so close now!
