I'm calling it now. Baby Girl is a walker. It's been 3 weeks 1 day since she took her first unassisted steps and she's been practicing toddling off and on since then. She'd take up to 8 unassisted steps, but it would take a LOT of coaxing. Today, however, we'll just plop her down on her feet (or not--she's also mastering standing up without pulling up on anything...a skill Mommy has apparently lost along the way) and she'll walk over to where she wants to go--Daddy, a toy, a book, the VCR, the piano...
We first realized that she was a walker about 2:45 this afternoon when I put her down on her feet from my lap and she immediately walked over to her Daddy without any prompting and also without shuffling (she'd been taking a step sideways, then bringing her other foot to it). Just like she'd been doing it forever.
Look out, world...next thing you know, we'll have a runner!
